Hiring an agent in Workforce is less like adding a user and more like starting an employee on a job. First you review the role in the store; then, in four steps, you set what it will do, how and when.
Reviewing the role in the store
Each role's card says what it does by itself, what it does with your approval and what it never does. The role catalogue filters by work area: accounting and finance, sales, purchasing, production, warehouse and management.
Four steps
- Scope: the Logo company, the minimum amount, the minimum days overdue and the customers to exclude.
- Mailbox and tone: connect the mailbox now or later; choose a polite, formal or firm tone; write the signature.
- Hours and authority: start and end time, days; for each skill “Off”, “Suggest” or “Automatic”.
- Meet them: see the employee's identity card and start them.
If the mailbox is not connected the agent still starts: it prepares drafts and sends nothing. A draft prepared without a mailbox is never sent; once the mailbox is connected, the agent prepares the draft again at its next scheduled step and the new draft goes out with your approval.
After they start
The panel shows only the employees you have hired; each has a single status line: “Working”, “Off hours”, “Paused” or “3 tasks waiting for you”. When you change working hours in the panel, the routine moves to the new time.
